Karla flicked her ash, blew out a cloud of smoke, and without missing a beat, went on to tell me more of what I could expect, if I were to come back. The conversation didn’t take long, but I can tell you that before I left, I knew that I’d return soon.
And I did, too.
If you look for darkness in the dark, you will find it. If you look for light in the dark, you will find that it shines.

Some of you already know about Marley, my "li'l old man" of 16 years. He was the most loving, intelligent, best friend and loyal dog I had even known.
What many of you may not know of is Marley's friend, Diogi. (Say it aloud, to yourself - Dee-oh-gee! Yeah, I came up with that. Someone actually asked me if it was Italian!)
Of course, like most little boys, my brother and I were curious, and would often creep into the dark dining-room to peek into the TV-room and see what he was watching. It goes without saying that early on Dad would try to explain to us about how we needed to go to sleep, for all of the obvious reasons. As may be the case with most little boys, it didn't stop us from doing it again and again.
The other day, I met up with a friend and fellow photographer for a photo walk, through a park in Trumbull, CT. Lechmoore Simms is a very talented photographer who specializes in landscape and HDR photography. He and I wondered along the ponds and streams that surrounded us. We compared styles, discussed strategies, and explored our surroundings. We looked forward to the blooming of the flowers and upcoming greenery. We watched the sky, as the sun slowly fell into the horizon...
